The Houston Labyrinth Network is a program of the Community of the Labyrinth, an ecumenical group who, in 1996, built a portable, canvas labyrinth and began to introduce it into Houston area churches, hospitals and schools. Soon the labyrinth began to take root as a growing number of groups built or purchased their own labyrinths and created labyrinth programs to support their own unique missions.
Recognizing that the initial seeding of labyrinths was well under way, the Community of the Labyrinth created a new program, the Houston Labyrinth Network, to offer the burgeoning labyrinth communities the opportunity to network through semi-annual meetings and a web site. Membership in the HLN is as follows:
Individuals may join free in order to receive email notification of bi-annual meetings and other HLN announcements. Join us.
Local labyrinth communities also may join free to receive email notification of meetings and other HLN announcements and to list their labyrinth with related information on the Local Labyrinths page. Join us.
Member labyrinth communities who wish to post special events and announcements directly to the web site's Local Events page can do so with a password, which will be given upon payment of a yearly donation, in any amount, for the upkeep of the web site. To donate, join us and choose the paying member option.
